Eddi Wi-Fi reconnection tutorial

Connecting your Eddi to your home Wi-Fi lets you monitor and control your system remotely through the app, keeping you in full control of your renewable energy usage wherever you are.


With just a few quick steps, you can get your Eddi online and start tracking your solar generation and energy flow in real time. Whether you’ve just installed your system or need to reconnect after a router change, this simple guide will walk you through the process.

Step-by-step instructions


What you’ll need
  • Access to your Eddi device

  • A mobile phone

  • Your home Wi-Fi name and password

 

Step 1: Access installer settings on the Eddi
  1. On your Eddi, press the Menu button

  2. Scroll down to Device Settings

  3. Select Installer Settings

  4. Enter the passcode by pressing the tick button four times (0000)

 

Step 2: Reset Wi-Fi settings
  1. In the Installer Settings menu, scroll down to System Reset Wi-Fi Settings

  2. Press the tick to continue

  3. Press the tick again to confirm

  4. Wait a few seconds while the Wi-Fi is reset

 

Step 3: Enable the access point
  1. Press the Menu button to return to the main screen

  2. Go back into Device Settings → Internet → Wi-Fi

  3. Select Configuration

  4. Make sure access point is on

  5. Press the tick to confirm and save your settings

 

Step 4: Connect your phone to the Eddi’s Wi-Fi
  1. On your mobile phone, open Settings → Wi-Fi.

  2. Look for the network name starting with Myenergi Eddi

  3. Tap to connect and enter the password displayed on your Eddi screen

  4. Once connected, you'll be taken to the Eddi Wi-Fi setup page

 

Step 5: Enter your home Wi-Fi details
  1. On your phone, you’ll be prompted to enter "Password1" twice

  2. Press Set to save the details

  3. Wait around 10 seconds while your Eddi connects


Step 6: Connect to your home Wi-Fi
  1. Connect to your home Wi-Fi by choosing your home Wi-Fi name

  2. Type in your home Wi-Fi password

  3. Wait around 10 seconds to connect

 

Step 7: Confirm connection
  1. Check the Eddi display, it should now show connected

  2. You can also verify connection in the app to ensure your system is online

 

Your Eddi is now successfully connected to your home Wi-Fi and ready to communicate with your account. You can now optimise your energy use straight from your smartphone.
