If your Eddi isn’t receiving excess solar energy, it may be because it hasn’t been paired with your Harvi.

Pairing your Eddi hot water diverter with a Harvi allows your system to wirelessly measure grid power and accurately divert surplus solar energy to heat your water, helping you make the most of every bit of your solar generation.

With just a few simple steps, you can link the two devices and start monitoring your energy flow in real time for maximum efficiency and savings. Whether you're a first-time user or need a quick refresher, our guide will help you get your system paired swiftly.

Step-by-step instructions

What you’ll need

  • Access to your Harvi device

Step 1: Access Eddi settings
  1. On the Eddi, press the Menu button

  2. Go down to Device Settings

  3. Select Installer Settings

  4. Enter the passcode by pressing the tick button four times (0000)

Step 2: Enter pairing mode on the Eddi
  1. Scroll to Link Devices

  2. Hover over Pairing Mode, but don’t select it yet

Step 3: Put the Harvi into pairing mode
  1. Go to your Harvi device

  2. Press the Pair button once

  3. Wait for two flashes, followed by a red flash, this means the Harvi is now searching for the Eddi

Step 4: Complete the pairing on the Eddi
  1. Return to your Eddi

  2. Now select Pairing Mode

  3. The screen will say “searching for slaves”, and your Harvi will appear on the list

  4. Click on the Harvi to save it and start the pairing countdown

  5. Once the question mark disappears next to the Harvi, pairing is complete

Step 5: Configure the Harv to read the grid
  1. On the Eddi, select the Harvi from the device list

  2. Scroll to CT1 and change the setting to Grid

  3. Press the button to save your selection

  4. Press the X button to exit back to the home screen

  5. You should now see a wave symbol, showing the grid is being read correctly

Step 6: Verify successful pairing
  1. Check the top of the Eddi screen where you should see energy flow icons. This indicates that the Harvi has successfully paired

  2. To double-check, turn on a high-load appliance like a kettle

  3. You should see an increase in grid pull, confirming that the Harvi is reading the grid accurately

Your Harvi is now successfully paired with your Eddi and is correctly reading the grid.
