If you're going to install products such as heat pumps or mechanical ventilation with heat recover (MVHR), you'll likely save a huge sum on your heating bills - but at the same time, your electricity usage will go up. Installing solar PV can help you offset this additional electricity cost so you can achieve maximum savings.

Battery storage automatically provides homeowners with power when the sun goes down and certain models can provide backup power in case of grid interruption. It allows home owners to maximize self-consumption for maximum energy independence, because PV power is stored in a battery and used at night.

Solis & Pylontech

We have developed a more affordable battery solution using a Solis hybrid inverter and Pylontech battery modules.

Heat pumps produce more energy than they actually consume by using the conventional refrigeration cycle. They absorb heat from the environment and raise it to a suitable level of heating.

Heat pumps are ideal for a self build home with a reduction in heating costs by 40% – 50% vs. oil and LPG.

Just imagine. You can get 75% of your energy needs from solar energy stored in the ground or the air while heating your home and enjoying the highest possible level of comfort at the same time. This is made possible by our comprehensive range of heat pumps, which provide sustainable, energy-efficient solutions in all areas.

Air source

Air source heat pumps use a refrigeration process to transfer low grade energy from the air outside into high grade energy used for heating and domestic hot water.

Water-based systems are a network of pipes linked to your heat pump/boiler that pump hot water around your rooms.

Better yet, because underfloor heating systems distribute heat more evenly, they actually need water at a lower heat than a radiator, making your heat pump/boiler more efficient.

The ideal temperature for human comfort is 73F/19C at foot level and 67F/23C at head level. Underfloor floor heating delivers the closest match to these requirements.

Slab Plus Screed or Beam and Block

By far the best method for performance of the underfloor heating system. The screed provides good thermal conductivity and reasonable response times. But by far the best benefit of using this floor construction is optimum fuel efficiency.

HVAC systems are an air filtration device which can mechanically ventilate your home.  This is a requirement in new builds where a low carbon / zero carbon build is required and due to the air tightness of the property will provide fresh pre-heated air into the house.  This will help provide your home with fresh air and help stop condensation gathering which could lead to mildew in low energy homes.

In an airtight house the movement of air is controlled by a heat recovery ventilation system. If air movement is not controlled air quality can be unpredictable. Airtightness could also be referred to as the lack of draughts in a house.

In winter in a draughty building air may come in at 3 degrees centigrade. A comfortable indoor temperature is 21 degrees centigrade. The homeowner has to pay to heat that air. A good level of air tightness will mean that only the right volume of air will have to be heated. Similarly an air tight building will not let warm air escape.

Our heat recovery installation will also include the air-tightness test which is a building control requirement for a new build house.
